About Laurelhurst Elementary School

In partnership with Portland Public Schools, the YMCA is happy to provide Youth Development programming at Laurelhurst K-8 School.

We currently offer a variety of fun activities that help children develop their academic and social skills in an enriching atmosphere. Educational and recreational opportunities are offered in an environment that allows children to develop at their own pace, working independently and in a group setting. A strong emphasis is placed in our daily programming on the YMCA five core values of love, respect, honesty, responsibility, and service.

Registration for the 2024-2025 School Year will open on May 21 at 7am. Current participants will be able to register prior to this date. Please contact central@ymcacw.org for more information.

State Subsidy

ERDC is a DHS subsidy program that helps low-income working families access affordable child care by funding all or a portion of tuition cost. The YMCA of Columbia-Willamette is an ERDC approved provider. To learn more or apply for this funding, please visit the ERDC homepage

Open Door

Everyone is welcome at the Y. We proudly provide the Open Door Program, granting qualifying families, children, and adults access to quality Health and Wellness services, Youth Programs, and Child Care.
