Summer Camps
Cooking Camp | Aug. 6–10

Campers, who are referred to as “chefs in training,” learn a range of cooking skills in this camp, from small appliance cooking, to meal planning, to the wonders of food chemistry during their time at camp. Every day they learn how to make a new masterpiece. In addition to their new found cooking abilities, the skills that campers gain from this camp go much further than the kitchen. For children in grades 3–5.

Simple Mechanics Camp

Learn about simple machine concepts such as gears, leavers, wheels, and more. Students will learn through instruction and develop skills through hands one activities.

Math Gamers "Active" Summer Camp | Aug 20–24

Imagine a game of hopscotch helping your kids with place value! Or, kids getting practice adding or multiplying multi-digit numbers with a bean bag game! For students entering grades 1-5, come see how it works at a summer camp session of Math Gamers Active©!

Math Gamers© is a fun, math enrichment program using original games (board, card, logic) to help kids “have fun with math!” In each class, students learn at least one new game, the goals of which are matched to the common cores.

A special set of active games keeps kids moving in summer! And, during each week of camp, students work on a math art project that applies geometry, symmetry, or patterns to their own creations!

We have partnered with the Sherwood YMCA to offer a fun week of summer camp! As a Portland Metro STEM partner, as well, we are committed to helping students apply their math skills in fun ways! All materials provided.
