Welcoming Week

September 12 @ 8:00am – September 21, 12:00pm PDT

Welcoming Week at the YMCA of Columbia-Willamette | September 12–20

Every year, the YMCA of Columbia-Willamette celebrates Welcoming Week, a national initiative that brings neighbors together and highlights the power of community inclusion, diversity, and belonging. It’s a time to connect immigrants, refugees, and U.S.-born families while strengthening our shared community.

This year, the Y’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Cabinet is partnering with the Refugee Care Collective to create Restart Kits for newly arriving refugee families. These kits, including Personal Care Kits and Baby Kits, provide essential supplies and support to help families feel welcomed and cared for.

Drop off your donations at your nearest Y: Beaverton, Sherwood, or Clark by September 20. Every contribution helps families feel safe, supported, and part of the community.
