Exploring New Horizons
At YMCA Camps, kids make new friends, accomplish goals, learn new skills, and experience belonging in a way that only the Y can provide. Every new camp experience comes with a chance to learn and grow. At the Y, we strive to give every child and teen the opportunity to test their own limits and explore their potential.
Camp Offerings
Summer Enrichment Camps | 7–12 years old
Our Enrichment Camps are available at our Southeast YMCA from 9 AM–3 PM. These camps are specialized to allow children to deepen their knowledge and experience in subject areas of their choice. Each week has a different focused curriculum, intentionally designed to help students explore areas of interest, build basic skills, and take their learning to the next step. Each day, students would participate in skill building activities, focused on peer cooperation, creative thinking, and hands on learning.
- Lego Engineering
-
This Enrichment Camp utilizes LEGO Education kits to engage students in hands on investigation of STEAM concepts. This standard aligned curriculum encourages literacy, math, and socio emotional development, through problem solving and story-telling.
- Clay Camp
-
In this camp, students will get to explore the ceramic medium in our full clay studio. Classes will begin with a focus on hand building techniques and graduate to spinning on the wheels. This camp will challenge students to be creative problem solvers and artistic visionaries.
- Cooking Across the World

No passport required to take this culinary journey around the world. Our chefs will learn basic cooking techniques and how to create and follow recipes, all while creating new and exciting dishes that celebrate cultures around the world.

In this camp, students will learn and grow as artists and people through exploring the world of performing arts, including acting techniques, character development, stage direction, and improv. Embedded in this camp is a strong focus on socio emotional learning through self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship skills.
