What is included with my Sherwood YMCA membership?

Group Exercise Classes, Use of the Sherwood YMCA facility including the pool, indoor track, workout equipment and Sport Court, Y-Time (*with Household membership), access to all facilities in the YMCA of Columbia-Willamette association, Nationwide Membership, and reduced rates for members on programming such as Swim Lessons, Youth Sports, Child Care and more

What is Nationwide Membership?

Nationwide Membership that enables you to visit any participating Y in the United States through membership at your “home” YMCA (your home location is the facility that enrolled you as a member and that collects your membership dues) .


Do you need to be a resident of Sherwood to join the Sherwood YMCA?

Membership is open to all-both residents of Sherwood and residents in other cities as well.

What is your Guest Pass/Day pass policy?

We offer the option for non-members to purchase a day pass that will give them access to our facility amenities that includes all workout areas, Group Exercise classes and court space for $24.50. Members may purchase discounted $15 day passes when member is in attendance or purchases prior.

Do you have an app?

Yes we do and it is a great way to stay informed with the latest schedules, scan your pass, access YMCA360, Create workouts, make and track your goals and more!  The name of the app is YMCA of Columbia-Willamette. Download the app from Google Play or your iTunes app store.

Do you need to register for Group Exercise classes?

Group Exercise classes are drop in and no registration is needed. Some classes have equipment setup so we recommend getting to class a little early.

What can you tell me about your facility? How big is the pool? How many times around the track is a mile?

Do you offer full day or after school child care? 

We do have several Child Care locations that offer these services.

Do you have any insurance based memberships?

We do offer insurance based memberships for both Silver & Fit and Renew Active

What is your swim lesson student to teacher ratio?

For Preschool it is one instructor to four students
For Grade School it is one instructor to six students

Do you allow pool toys?


All floatation devices are at the discretion of the lifeguard and must be Coast Guard approved.

What are your facility age guidelines?

Can I create a membership online?

Yes, signing up online is a way to save time getting your membership set up. Once you get the online portion completed please come into the facility and get your picture taken and the Welcome Center can answer any questions you might have at that time. If you have not gotten a tour you could get one at this time as well.

Does membership include Skate Park usage?

The Skate Park is independent and not affiliated with the YMCA and is run by the City of Sherwood. For inquiries and to report problems with the Skate Park please contact the Parks Department at 503.625.5722
