Holiday Pay

Full time employees receive seven paid holidays per year.

Medical Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision)

The YMCA provides two comprehensive medical plan offerings for full time employees (40 hrs./week), Providence and Kaiser, which includes dental and vision coverage. Part Time Plus employees (30 hrs./week) are offered a comprehensive HSA Providence medical plan.

Paid Time Off

Every employee in the YMCA has the opportunity to accrue paid time off based on hours worked and years of service.

Retirement Plan

One of the primary benefits of working for the Y is that you can build your savings with the YMCA Retirement Fund. Once eligible—after two years of employment, completion of 1000 hrs. or more per year and must be 21 years old—employees will automatically receive a contribution of 8% of their annual gross income from the YMCA.

Tuition Reimbursement

The YMCA offers opportunities for tuition assistance for current active employees who are seeking their undergraduate degree and have met certain criteria.

Y Membership - Individual & Family 

New Employees receive a free individual membership and upon completion of required trainings will receive a free family membership. Employee only enrollment form

Y Program Discounts 

The YMCA offers discounts to employees on YMCA programs including summer camps, enrichment classes, youth sports and childcare.

Wellness Programs

The YMCA offers employees the opportunity to participate and benefit from many wellness programs and initiatives that help build a healthy spirit, mind and body.

Aflac Plans

YMCA employees are eligible to enroll in supplemental benefits offered by Aflac that include Accident Insurance, Short Term Disability, Dental and Cancer Plans.

Benevolent Fund 

The purpose of the fund is to assist an employee in need as a result of an unforeseen event, such as illness, accident, death disaster or other crisis.

Career Development

Career development is very important to the YMCA and we offer various training and leadership development opportunities to YMCA employees.

Employee Assistance Program 

EAP is a professional counseling and referral services designed to help employees with personal, family and job issues. It’s free, voluntary and strictly confidential.

Employee Referral Program 

Refer a friend to work for the YMCA of Columbia-Willamette and if they are hired you may earn a total of $250.

Flexible Schedules

Many YMCA of Columbia-Willamette sites offer flexible work schedules which integrates with school schedules and other commitments.

Flexible Spending Account

Full time employees are eligible to participate in Flexible Spending accounts by setting aside pre-tax dollars to pay for certain medical and child care expenses.

Life, AD&D and LTD Insurance

Basic Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Long Term Disability insurance is automatically paid for on all Full Time employees.Prepaid Legal Services

Full Time and Part Time Plus employees are eligible to enroll in LegalShield which provides access to a network of legal professionals for your legal needs.

On your first day of employment with the Y you are eligible to enroll in a 403 (b).This is a tax deferred account and your money is invested in a variety of vehicles, including stocks and bonds to ensure future growth.
