Family Scholarships

All kids deserve the chance to learn, grow and thrive in a positive and supportive atmosphere. At the YMCA we believe all children should have the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve under the guidance of caring adults who believe in their potential.

That’s why we offer quality, affordable and accessible care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age children. Parents’ entrust their children to us during the critical stages of their child's development. At the YMCA 5,800 children actively participate in our early childhood development, before and after school enrichment programs, and day camps.

One in six children are able to access child care because their families receive scholarships. Last year we provided almost 1,000 participants with scholarships for families in need, which totaled more than $725,000 in financial assistance. Providing access to all families, regardless of their ability to pay, is a cornerstone of our Mission. No family is turned away due to their inability to pay. The scholarship needs for these programs far outpace the correlating investment from our communities.

Give Today

There will continue to be significant disparities in access to child care programs across the communities we live, work and play. That's where you come in. Where society falls short, the YMCA and donors like you, step in. Financial contributions to our child care programs help us continue to be available to all. Your gift to YMCA Early Childhood Development, Before and After School Enrichment and Day Camps helps us provide critical financial assistance to low income households. Available Financial Assistance, which funds scholarships, is never enough.

To help provide access to quality, affordable child care for children and families, please consider the Gift of scholarships by donating to YMCA Child Care programs.
