Teen Camp | High School Overnight Camp
We plan to offer nine sessions of overnight camp for high school age youth in 2021. For youth entering grades 9-12. High school overnight camp will run weekly sessions, beginning Sunday afternoon and concluding on Friday afternoon. Designed for teenagers who want to get outdoors, make new friends and participate in activities that challenge them in a variety of different ways. Teen Camp intentionally puts a strong emphasis on self-discovery, personal growth, teamwork, personal responsibility and positive communication. At camp we recognize that teenagers are discovering who they are and choosing who they want to be.
Current state guidelines around COVID-19 do permit overnight camp to operate. Health & safety protocols are currently being developed as operational guidelines are released. Current protocols are available in our Parent Information letter. Activities this summer include swimming in the pool, horseback riding, challenge course, archery, crafts, and leadership opportunities. Click to view the Overnight Camp Parent Information.

Session Themes & Activities
Each week of overnight camp comes with a theme. Themes are what drive the week's activities and bring some of the magic to camp. Specific themes will be shared in more detail as the summer gets closer. Activities at camp this summer include swimming in the pool, horseback riding, archery, team building, aerial park, crafts, and leadership opportunities.
- A Day in the Life of a Teen Camper
Teens stay in the rustic River Village where campers share a screened cabin with 3 or 4 other campers. Campers are introduced to outdoor living skills such as fire and shelter-building while practicing Leave No Trace principles. Teen Camp allows participants the opportunity to enjoy all the fun of camping while being introduced to responsibility of role modeling within their unit as well as all around camp. Teens are sure to build strong friendships as they make their way through activities planned by their Teen Counselors throughout their stay.
For the summer of 2021, teen sessions are only one week in length. The traditional overnight rafting trip will be replaced with other unique activities that take place at YMCA Camp Collins.
