Teen Camp | Entering Grades 9-12

Teen camp is for our oldest campers. They’ll learn to work successfully with a wide range of people and personalities, practice modeling positivity and take ownership of their camp experience. Enjoy time on the Aerial Park, Giant Swing, or Leap of Faith to develop confidence, support your peers, and discover your best self. Teen Camp includes a ½ day rafting trip where teens enhance friendships and use new skills. Teen Camp will be offered as a 1-week program for the summer of 2022.

A Day in the Life of a Teen Camper

Teens stay in the rustic River Village where campers share a screened cabin with 3 or 4 other campers. Campers are introduced to outdoor living skills such as fire and shelter-building while practicing Leave No Trace principles. Teen Camp allows participants the opportunity to enjoy all the fun of camping while being introduced to the responsibility of role modeling within their unit as well as all-around camp. Teens are sure to build strong friendships as they make their way through activities planned by their Teen Counselors throughout their stay.

For the summer of 2022, teen sessions are only one week in length. The traditional overnight rafting trip will be replaced with other unique activities that take place at YMCA Camp Collins.

Open Door Program (Camperships)

We believe that every child deserves to come to camp. With that, we offer scholarship assistance to families who would otherwise not be able to afford to send their children to camp. Our scholarships come from funds raised through our annual campaign and unspent camp store deposits.
