Teen Camp | Entering Grades 9–11
Designed for teenagers who want to get outdoors, make new friends and participate in activities that challenge them in a variety of different ways. Teen Camp intentionally puts a strong emphasis on self-discovery, personal growth, teamwork, personal responsibility and positive communication. At camp we recognize that teenagers are discovering who they are and choosing who they want to be. Teen Counselors harness this energy and create learning opportunities and discussions around these important moments whether they happen on the challenge course or in their village during nighttime debrief activities.
Please see the Teen Camps Parent Handbook for packing lists, check-in/check-out procedures and additional information to prepare your teen for camp.
A minimum $50 deposit is due at time of registration. Camp fees can be paid in full at time of registration or through monthly installments. The full balance is due by June 1, 2020.
YMCA Camp Collins utilizes a three rate system. Rate 1 reflects the actual operating cost of camp while Rate 2 and 3 are subsidized to make camp more accessible. You may voluntarily choose the rate most suited for your family and it in no way influences the experience children receive. There are no questions asked and no documentation needed. Camp Scholarships are also available.

Rate 2 | $1245

- A Day in the Life of a Teen Camper
Teens stay in the rustic River Village where they are introduced to outdoor living skills such as fire and shelter-building while practicing Leave No Trace principles. During their second week of camp, teens head out on the Deschutes River for a two-day, one-night rafting trip, joined by their Teen Counselors and experienced guides from River Drifters, putting their new outdoor skills to use. This trip offers challenging rapids and an opportunity to explore the river canyon environment with a night of camping under the stars.
Teen Camp allows participants the opportunity to enjoy all the fun of camping while being introduced to responsibility of role modeling within their unit as well as all around camp. Teens are sure to build strong friendships as they make their way through activities planned by their Teen Counselors throughout their two-week stay.
Please complete these necessary forms and bring them with you to camp check in.
Commitment and Cancellation Agreement
In order to register for a program at YMCA Camp Collins both the Camper and the Parent/Guardian must read, agree to, and sign our Commitment and Cancellation Agreements. Below you will find the Camper and Parent/Guardian Agreements for our various programs. These agreements are listed on the Registration Forms of all programs.
- Parent/Guardian Commitment and Cancellation Agreement
I understand it is my camper’s responsibility to participate in the whole YMCA Camp Collins summer camp program to the best of their abilities, including: living in a cabin, activities, value sharing and camp chores. I have discussed with my camper that they may not possess or use tobacco, cannabis, or vape products, alcoholic beverages, non-prescription drugs or possess weapons of any kind while at YMCA Camp Collins. My camper will do their best to follow instructions, remain in designated areas, keep others and themselves safe and make camp a good experience for fellow campers and themselves.
I understand that failure to live up to this agreement could result in my campers’ dismissal from camp without a refund of fees.
Included with registration is a required $50 deposit. I understand that the deposit is nonrefundable. I agree to pay the remaining balance of the camp fee in full no later than June 1st, 2020. A space will not be held past June 1st without full payment. If I register after June 1st, 2020 I understand that payment in full is required to complete my camper’s registration. I understand that after June 1st, only 50% of the total camp fee is refundable 3 weeks prior to the start of my child’s session. Transferring my child to another session of camp is possible provided space is available and a written request is received at least 3 weeks prior to the start of their original session. I understand that no refunds are given if a child leaves camp early for any reason, drops within 3 weeks of their session start date, or does not show up on the first day of camp.
