Teen Camp | Entering Grades 9–11
Designed for teenagers who want to get outdoors, make new friends and participate in activities that challenge them in a variety of different ways. Teen Camp intentionally puts a strong emphasis on self-discovery, personal growth, teamwork, personal responsibility and positive communication. At camp we recognize that teenagers are discovering who they are and choosing who they want to be. Teen Counselors harness this energy and create learning opportunities and discussions around these important moments whether they happen on the challenge course or in their village during nighttime debrief activities.
2020 OVERNIGHT PROGRAMS CANCELLED
Due to COVID-19, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel overnight camping for this summer including Labor Day Family Camp.
- A Day in the Life of a Teen Camper
Teens stay in the rustic River Village where they are introduced to outdoor living skills such as fire and shelter-building while practicing Leave No Trace principles. During their second week of camp, teens head out on the Deschutes River for a two-day, one-night rafting trip, joined by their Teen Counselors and experienced guides from River Drifters, putting their new outdoor skills to use. This trip offers challenging rapids and an opportunity to explore the river canyon environment with a night of camping under the stars.
Teen Camp allows participants the opportunity to enjoy all the fun of camping while being introduced to responsibility of role modeling within their unit as well as all around camp. Teens are sure to build strong friendships as they make their way through activities planned by their Teen Counselors throughout their two-week stay.
