Quarterly Philanthropy Report - February 2022

In 2021, our philanthropic efforts to secure individual investment, government grants, foundation grants, corporate sponsorships and special event revenue totaled $2,203,000 in investment for the YMCA of Columbia-Willamette.

This level of community investment was made possible through YCARES our intentional and sustainable set of programs that assists our most vulnerable neighbors with access to essential services. YCARES consists of five impact areas that allow investors to direct their gifts to the outcomes that align most closely with their individual philanthropic goals. In 2021, the Five Impact Campaigns coupled with investment flowing to the Area of Greatest Need resulted in YMCA-CW securing more than double our published Philanthropic Goal of $1,000,000. Here is a recap of each campaign’s performance:

Category Dollars Raised
  Youth Development   $983,070
  Kids to Camp   $792,680
  Hunger Relief   $89,786
  Chaplain Services   $68,424
  Drowning Prevention   $6,679
  Area of Greatest Need   $262,363
